The Lutgert Companies have been creating new experiences in
luxury living for their clients and business partners for over fifty years. Their

1964 when Raymond L. Lutgert broke ground on the development of a 760-acre
parcel bordering a pristine piece of Naples, Florida beachfront.
Raymond, a summertime resident of Blowing Rock, North
Carolina, saw potential for a high-end development in the mountains featuring
the same luxury finishes and incredible views featured in the beachfront
developments. Partnered with his son Scott F. Lutgert, the search began for a
mountaintop property that would allow enough property to build an 18-hole
golf course.
A 1,500-acre parcel became available on Flattop Mountain.
The views from Flattop Mountain and the flat land indicated by its name
provided the ideal location for the development. The completion of the course
would be one of the highest altitude courses in the Eastern United States.
Linville Ridge broke ground in the early 80s, with plans to build the grounds
and course to highlight breathtaking overlooks and views of Grandfather
Mountain.
Over the past five decades, The Lutgert Companies have set
